Carta's investor experience makes sure you are up to date with the investments made to companies using Carta.
The investor dashboard is available for all shareholders that fulfill the following conditions:
- own shares or convertible loan notes that have been published by the investment company.
- do not own any equity grants (if you own both grants and shares, you will toggle between the investor dashboard Holdings and the employee dashboard).
Upon sign up or login, you will be redirected to the Dashboard. On this page, you can see the following sections:
- Portfolio of dropdown
- Estimated return on your investments
- Latest transactions
- Access to investment company details
Portfolio of Dropdown
If you have been issued equity both as an individual and a holding company, you can see your holdings under the same account, provided they have been registered with the same email address.
You can switch between portfolios by clicking on the dropdown menu under Portfolio Of.
Estimated Return of Your Investments
This section will only shows on your account if the company that issued you the shares has added the relevant valuations related to the shares. If you do not see an estimated return on your investor dashboard, please contact the investment company directly as they will be able to clarify.
Estimated return is calculated by subtracting the amount invested from the estimated value of the portfolio. Note that the estimated value only includes companies that have disclosed a share price. This may lead to a negative return until each company in the portfolio has made its share price available.

Latest Transactions
This section is an overview of all the shares you have been issued, detailing information such as the type of transaction, the share class, quantity and date.
Access to Investment Company Details
Based on the settings enabled by your investment company, you will have access to different types of information such as:
- Overview
- Cap table
- Funding Rounds
- Latest Transactions
- Company updates
In order to access your company's shared data, click on the hyperlinked name under the graph on your dashboard or click on the company's name under Companies.
