Quick issue equity from the dashboard 🏎
Employee equity is a popular incentive for start-ups and scale-ups, and for good reason. It helps companies take pressure off cash compensation, creates a culture of ownership and accountability, and often acts as a strong retention tool for employees.
On Capdesk, we help our customers grant equity to their employees and now, we have made it even more intuitive to grant through Capdesk. With our “Quick action” feature you can now start granting straight from the Admin dashboard making it more efficient to get started.
Improvements to the employee exercise flow 🏃♀️
We are excited to announce improvements to the exercise flow for employees! The updated in-product experience aims to help employees feel more confident throughout the process and reduce the finance and HR team’s burden of managing (and answering questions about) exercising.
We know from administrators on Capdesk that the number 1 question employees have about their equity is how they exercise. To solve that problem, we have added a permanent Exercise card directly on the dashboard that informs employees when they can exercise, and how to do so.
Updated employee equity emails 🎯
We know that the more engaged employees are with their equity, the more likely they are to consider the equity a part of their total compensation package.
We are therefore now notifying the employee when they hit a number of milestones with their equity.
This is part of a bigger push on our end to increase employee engagement. We believe that the more engaged the employees are in their equity, the more likely they are to stay at the company and work hard to impact the value of the company (and thus their own gains).

Major improvements to the dashboard page 🌟
- Preview investor's dashboards
Just like the current preview for employee's dashboards, you can now preview your investor's dashboards from the cap table page. This feature provides administrators with full visibility of their shareholder's views on Capdesk. This can also be used before going live, so it's a great way to see your shareholder's view before they are invited to the platform. Simply select the 'Preview Dashboard' option next to a shareholder on the cap table page.
- Cross-company investor dashboard
This dashboard provides investors with a holding overview across all investments with a graph that helps them track the health of their portfolio and get an overview of their latest investments. All values are accumulated with their total value up against their total investments. From this view your investors can dive deep into a company-specific view, where they can track their debts, investments, returns or any company news or documents shared you have shared with them.
- Company-level investor dashboard
When clicking a company on the new cross-company dashboard, it will pull up a new dashboard that shows more granular detail about your own position in the company. For now, it will be available to stakeholders who hold shares and/or convertible notes only.
Multiple people can now claim a company 🎁
Gone are the days of only having one person responsible for claiming a company on Capdesk. From today you’ll be able to forward the claiming email to your colleagues, secretaries, administrators or whomever you’d like to - and they will be able to claim the company themselves!
Bulk send for signing ✍️
Save even more time with Capdesk! You can now select multiple online grant issuances to send for signing using the new 'send for signing' button.
Converting RSUs into shares 🛠
Capdesk is one of the few platforms to support Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and now you are able to convert them directly to shares with this new feature! This a great step in empowering employees to become owners.
