Easily create a register of allotments to file with Companies House.
A register of allotments is a record that keeps track of the applications received and shares allotted by a company. It serves as a comprehensive register for the company's shares and provides important information about the shareholders. The company might need to file the register of allotments within Companies House. If this the first time using the register, please refer to Creating a register of members for the first time.
The following actions are possible from the Register of allotments page:
- Publishing Allotments To The Register
- Generating An SH01 Filing
- Exporting the Allotments As An Excel File
Publishing Allotments To The Register
1. Navigate to Company registers > Allotments > Pending.
2. Click More > Publish allotments.
3. Click the checkbox for the allotments that are going to be published > click Publish to the register.
4. Confirm date of entry as a member for each shareholder > Publish to register.
5. Click View register to return to the pending allotments page where you can continue to review and managing allotments before publishing them to your register.
Generating An SH01 Filing
1. Navigate to Company registers > Allotments > Register of Allotments.
2. Click Fillings > Generate SH01 filing.
3. Select the allotments you want to include in the SH01 filing and click Continue.
4. Confirm or add the prescribed particulars for each share class included in the SH01 > click Continue.
5. Review the filings data before clicking Continue and file later, in which case you can submit the filling to Companies House directly and mark SH01 as filed in Carta or click File to Companies House, in which case you file your SH01 directly to Companies House through Carta.
Exporting The Allotments As An Excel File

2. Click More and Export as XLSX.
