Carta can facilitate generating an accurate and up to date Register Of Directors.
The Register of Directors is part of statutory registers within the UK. Furthermore, you will see:
Adding a director
1. Make sure to enable the feature by navigating over to Navigate to Settings > Settings and add-ons and check the Use company registers and filings on Carta box under Registers, Companies House filings and share certificates.
2. Navigate to Company registers > Directors and click Add director.
3. Select either to add an individual or corporate director. For this example, click Individual director.
4. If the director is already a stakeholder select them from the list, otherwise click Skip to add the director.
5. Fill all the required information (marked with a red asterisk) and click Continue.
6. Check the Consent to act as director check box and click Continue. It is also possible to generate or preview the AP01 filling from this step.
7. With the director added, it is now possible to generate the AP01 filing. Navigate to Company registers > Directors > Filings and click Generate AP01.
Changing the Details of a Director
1. Navigate to Company registers > Directors > and from the actions button on the right hand side of the director, select Edit details.
2. After entering the required information (marked with a red asterisk), it is also possible to generate and/or preview the CH01 filing from the screen below. Click Continue to save the changes.
3. To generate the CH01 filing, navigate once again to Company registers > Directors > Filings and click Generate CH01.
Terminating a Director's Appointment
1. Navigate to Company registers > Directors > and from the actions button on the right hand side of the director, select Terminate appointment.
2. Enter the date of the termination of the appointment and click Terminate appointment. It is also possible to generate/preview the TM01 filing from this screen.
3. To generate the CH01 filing, navigate once again to Company registers > Directors > Filings and click Generate TM01.
