You can now file your Confirmation Statement (CS01) within Companies House through Carta.

Link Carta To Companies House
Before using the feature, it is necessary to link Carta to Companies House.
1. Navigate to Settings > Setting and add-ons.
2. Click Registers and Companies House filings and check Enable Carta direct filing to Companies House.
3. Click Link Carta to Companies House.
4. This will initiate the process to link Carta to your Companies House account. Click Continue to move forward.
5. Enter the required information and click Link Carta to Companies House.
- Company authentication code: This is a 6 digit alphanumeric code issued by Companies House. We require this code to file data online on your behalf to Companies House. Please refer to this page to learn more about it;
- Presenter ID: This is a 11 digit numeric code issued by Companies House to enable you file company accounts and documents using software. You can see more about this process here;
- Presenter authentication code: This is a 11 digit alphanumeric code issued by Companies House when you apply for a presenter account to file company accounts and documents using software. Refer to this page with a step by step.
6. If successful, you will receive a confirmation from Carta. Click Okay.
File the CS01 Within Companies House
1. Navigate to Compliance > Filings.
2. Click Generate filing > CS01.
3. Enter the required information and click Continue.
- Last confirmation date: All relevant information on Carta from this date to the confirmation date will be included in your Confirmation Statement;
- Next confirmation date: This date marks the end of your review period when you inform Companies House that your records are up to date and your company information is correct;
- Registered email address: Companies House may use this email address to contact your company. It's legally required for all companies to have an email address registered with Companies House.
4. Carta will check the information on the platform and compare with Companies House. If any discrepancies shows up, it is possible to update Carta to reflect Companies House or the other way around. It also possible to ignore the discrepancies and move forward. Click Continue to move forward.
The following data will be checked:
- Company information, standard industrial classification code (SIC);
- Statement of capital change;
- Shareholder information;
- Company PSCs, directors and secretaries;
5. Once all information has been confirmed, Carta will generate a preview of the filing. Check the box to confirm the data has been reviewed and click File to Companies House.
It is also possible to save the CS01 and file in another moment. Click Continue and file later if that is the case.
6. If the CS01 has been created but not filed during the workflow, navigate to Compliance > Filings, click the actions button on the far right hand side and select File to Companies House.
