It is possible to add various emails to be associated with your Carta account. This is important in situations where a password reset is needed and you no longer have access to your registered email.
Adding multiple email accounts
1. Navigate to the User Icon > Account summary.
2. Click Carta account.
3. Enter the email and click Add email.
4. A prompt will be displayed indicating the new email must be verified (The verification link will be valid for 7 days). Click Okay.
5. Locate the verification email and click Verify Email.
Note: The additional email must be verified before using it to log in. |
Updating primary email address
You can make your secondary email your primary after it is verified.
1. Navigate to the User Icon > Account summary.
2. Click Carta account.
3. Click Make primary next to the secondary email address.
It is possible to remove secondary emails from the account. The primary email is where stakeholder information from the companies you are linked to are sent.
Please note investments will only show in the portfolio if the email address the company used for registering the investment on Carta is associated to the account. It is possible to add a different email and make it the primary email as long as you still keep the initial email address on the account, otherwise the investments will not be linked to or visible in the account. |
