Once your account has gone live, there are a range of features that Carta supports, detailed below:

Online Grant Issuance
Carta allows you to sign new grant agreements electronically (using DocuSign). You can see the different types of equity we can provide online signing for below:
- Options;
- Warrants;
- Share Grant (Growth Shares);
- Phantom Shares;
- RSU;
Online Exercise
You can allow your grantholders (optionholders and warrantholders) to exercise their options on Carta.

Share Certificate Signing
You can generate and sign share certificates on Carta (using DocuSign). Carta gives you the option to upload your own share certificate or use a template.
The certificates tab will need to be enabled in the Settings and Add-ons menu prior to attempting the signing of certificates.
An example of a signed share certificate using the standard template is shown below.
Email Stakeholders and Send News Updates
You can use Carta to email all company stakeholders. The platform will also provide you with statistics detailing the amount opened and if any failed, allowing you to track stakeholder engagement.
You can also create news updates to store and share with your stakeholders on the News page.
EIS3 Certificates
You can use Carta to generate EIS3 certificates. You will need to make sure you have enabled the EIS feature prior to generating the certificates in the Settings and Add-ons menu under Settings on the left-hand side of your screen.
Requesting a Carta EMI Plan
You can request a Carta EMI Share Plan. Your onboarding manager will introduce you to your Share Plan Setup Manager to deliver your documents and help you set this up in your Carta account.
