As a grantholder on Carta, you can accept your grant and sign your agreement in just a few steps.
In this guide we will use option grants as an example, however, this is applied to all equity types supported on Carta.
1. Click Sign up/Log in to Carta in the email notification received in your inbox. If you don't have an account yet, you can sign up to Carta before moving to step 2.
2. Click Review and sign grant issuance on the Tasks page.
3. Review the grant details and click Review and Sign.
4. Once you have been redirected to the DocuSign page, click Continue.
5. If the agreement requires a witness signature you will be prompted to input the witness details - Name, Email address and a Message to the witness, then click Continue.
The witness will receive an email notification to complete their signature on the DocuSign portal.
6. Review the agreement, then click Start.
7. Click Sign in the yellow sign box to complete the signature.
8. Once signed, click Finish at the top of the screen.
9. You will now be redirected to the Dashboard.
10. Once the witness and the rest of the parties have completed their signature, you will receive an email confirmation.
