With Carta, you have the flexibility to control what company administrators can view and modify.

  • Adding a new administrator.

  • Editing existing access for an administrator.

  • Customising administrator access.

  • Removing an administrator.

  • Invitation statistics.

 

Adding a New Administrator

1. Navigate to Settings > Administrator Settings.

 

2. Click Add administrator.

 

3. Fill out the appropriate information and click Save.

 

4. New administrators will be added with full read and full write access. You can modify and customise access after the new administrator is added.

 

5. The new administrator will be invited to Log in to Carta via email.

 

 

Editing Existing Access for an Administrator

1. Navigate to Settings > Administrator Settings.

 

2. Click the Actions Button on the right-hand side of the administrator entry > Edit access.

 

3. Carta offers three full access types:

  • None - The administrator will have no access to the account except for the accesses you have individually set for them i.e. customised access.

  • Read - The administrator will have full reading access, but will not be able to make modifications.

  • Write - The administrator will have full autonomy to make modifications.

 

4. Make the appropriate modification and click Save

 

Customising Administrator Access

1. Navigate to Settings > Administrator Settings.

 

2. Click the Actions Button on the right-hand side of the administrator entry > Edit access.

 

3. If the administrator has been set with None as full access type, you will be able to customise the type of securities they have access to, as well as they will collaborate the news section.

This allows you to individualize access to specific type of securities. If you have an HR Administrator, you can allow them to see Options, Share Grants, Warrants, Phantom Shares and RSUs, but keep them from seeing Convertible Notes and Shares.

 

Removing an Administrator

1. Navigate to Settings > Administrator Settings.

 

2. Click the Actions Button on the right-hand side of the administrator entry > Remove.

 

3. Click Confirm.

 

Invitation Statistics

1. Navigate to Settings > Administrator Settings.

 

2. Click Invitation statistics.

 

3. You will be able to see how each administrator has interacted with the invitation sent by Carta: the email was sent, the email was opened, etc. You can verify if the administrator has an active account by looking at On Carta field.
