Onboarding Employees
Add Onboarding Rules
For the purpose of this article, we will use the issuance of option grants as an example. Please, bear in mind that the same process is valid for the other types of awards (e.g. Share grants, Warrants, RSUs, etc.)
Navigate to Company Stakeholders > Employees > Onboarding.

Overview
Employees will have three different statuses:
Pending Onboarding: an employee that has a start date but no grants issued.
Onboarding in Progress: an employee that has been issued a grant that is currently under issuance (not yet completed).
Onboarded: an employee with a published grant.
Onboarding employees
For employees that are pending onboarding, you can individually or bulk issue online grants.
1. Click Create drafts.

2. Select from which plan you are issuing from.

If the plan is greyed out please click Add onboarding rules.
3. Confirm the Exercise price and click Next.

4. Select one or multiple new joiners that are being issued grants by clicking the checkbox > click Next.

5. Add the Number of options and Vesting start date for each grant.

6. Ensure the information is correct and click Next. The drafts will be generated and you will be guided to the Online issuances page, where the newly reflected grants will be in draft. You can then issue
Individually by clicking the actions button to the right of the grant and select Send for signing.
In bulk by clicking Send for signing in the exercise funnel.
Add onboarding rules
If the plan you are issuing from has default onboarding details, you will be prompted to add the details of granting for new joiners by editing the equity plan.
1. In the Default onboarding section, mark the checkbox to expand the details.

2. You will need to add the following details:
Document set for grant issuance: A document set is a group of documents you want to reuse in several online grant issuances, exercises, etc. Review here.
Exercise during tenure: Select if the holder will be able to exercise from grant date, once vested.
Vesting schedule: Select the parameters of vesting that will be applied to the grants issued from this plan.
Grant expires after: Select an expiration period for the grant.
